Conquer small tasks that you can easily accomplish before you begin trying to handle more difficult ones that need done. This can be something like organizing your work area or getting a short phone call taken care of. When it comes to things like this it is a good idea to make a list. That way you can cross of what you have accomplished and remember everything that you need to get done. Even crossing off your to-do list can give you the boost of confidence that you need.
Make a list of all the goals that you want to accomplish. As you complete each item, check it off, but don’t erase it. This way, you can see how much progress that you have made. For instance, if your goal is to get a degree in health informatics, then write down all of the steps it would take to accomplish that dream. That way you can build confidence and see yourself get closer to your dream.
Come up with a key word or phrase that you say to yourself when you are feeling down or doubting yourself. Say it when you wake up and before you go to bed too. This will help retrain your subconscious mind. It is also a good idea to say it to yourself out loud in the mirror. That way you can hear it out loud and better help yourself see how great you really are.
See Your Best Qualities
Write down what you love about yourself. Be sure to include absolutely everything that you can think of. Then, keep this paper in a convenient place close by you, so you can always read it when you need a boost of self-confidence. Add to the paper every time that you think of new things. You can also ask others that you are close to write down good qualities that they think you have. That is definitely something that can be great for your self-esteem.
Keep Negativity at Bay
Do your best to not let negative people around you until your confidence is stronger. Avoid dreadful news or situations that could tear you down inside too. If any unavoidable negative situations present themselves, then try to return to a positive state of mind as quickly as possible.
Be Grateful for Who You Are
Try your best to stop comparing yourself to others in a negative way. It will only make you miserable. Much of our inner criticism comes from feeling as if we are not good enough or that others are better than us. By accepting yourself for who you are, this criticism will melt away though.
